The deluded emphasis, on the reduction of pain. Treating it like a cloth, with a removable stain. Hiding behind the fear, not looking away from it. The throat of your progress, ever so silently slit. To withstand suffering, you stand firmly in place. Harden your fragile mind, look chaos straight in the face. The incoming deluge, you must learn how to swim. The cost of not learning, gives you a future dim. It is not happiness, avoid not the answer. To truly enjoy life, you must be a dancer. Dance around the anguish, go with the flow of life. I’m sat here in this heat, little one, trying to find the poison. It is the thread between me and you? The thick blood in our veins, slowly killing us even as it keeps us alive? When the time comes, if I can will I? You will not thank me, little one, you do not have to. To give one’s life is one thing, reputation and honour another. A certain someone attempted making conversation with me today after the neglect of friendship they promised me.
Honestly it hurt trying to care less about them when talking, but I am beginning to see I do not need to be dependent on them for my happiness.
